Which is it? Or is there something else I didn't put here that is harder?

That's still basically a front main seal job- gotta get the chain out to do that, correct?

Piston rings you have (or should) take the head off(hone) (headgasket) and you have to take the bearings out, and, "while you're in there" you should check them and replace as needed....

right?
I can't think of anything harder than piston rings... that would be a big PITA to do in the car for damn sure...

Replacing the front main seal just involves removing the belts and the main crankshaft pulley - pretty easy actually.

Rod Bearing do not even belong on the list. Piston rings would be much harder. Done the rods in my car. Never the pistons but that would be like doing the rods plus a bunch of extra steps.

How about replacing 5th gear pop out with all the updated parts? I would much rather do rings, headgasket etc.

That was a bitch when i had my T25 with my battery under the hood and piping running everywhere now with the T04B and my manifold everything is out in the open. time for a upgrade man ;) . Once u go big and laggy u will never go back :D

BTW. I think the rear main seal is harder than the front, i hate taking the trans off and pulling the axles off in a G20  .

mines clutch cable is also out in the open. my battery has been in the trrunk ever since i did myy BB Det swap wich was 3 years ago. and i dont have any intake piping blocking it since the intake goes to the turbo. but even with it out in the open. its still an annoying ass problem!
