Anyone got a guess on how long they would think this would last on a car that puts down 196hp to the wheels. I really need a clutch and just don't have $370 to spend on an ACT. I don't race and never go to the track. Every once in a while I will bring it up to 6k or so getting on the highway but thats it.

You can also check out Exedy clutches...they are a bit cheaper than ACT.

Get a compatetion clutch, a non agressive one should last a while and be easy, cheap too.

Im guessing it will last as long as you let it. SE-riously , you can make it last for 60k or you can fry it in 5k. Its up to you. I believe the first ?500? miles are the most important.

BTW- its good to know people, i got a sachs complete clutch kit and pilot bushing shipped, for 67~. shit yeah.

You mean he can help with the install or getting me a cheap clutch. I got a guy to do the install for cheap. I just need to find the clutch. I am leaning toward an exedy stage 1 racing clutch. They are cheaper than ACT, SPEC, CLUTCHNET and the JWT setup. Plus there I don't see any horror stories flying around the interenet like the other ones.

I used an Exedy as a replacement when my 155K mile clutch went out on my 1999 Altima I used to own.Put 10K miles on it after properly breaking it in and had no troubles.Pedal feel was very close to stock.

Most Nissan dealers use Exedy/Daiken clutches as replacements for customers cars.

Did you have the OE replacement one or the racing one? I think I am going to try the racing stage 1 with 52% more clamping force. I think that will be plenty for my setup. Plus it's about half the price of the ACT. Anyone have any experiences with this one, good or bad?

Use a stock clutch for a stock or minimal bolt on car. You dont need to waste your money on a good aftermarket kit if you do not need to hold much power. Be careful buying "racing" clutches. They sometimes come with aggressive discs that do not last long, can be a pain to drive, and will ruin your flywheel.

There is a guy on ebay selling them for $225. I did a search for the company and found alot of positive feedback. Some was negative but mostly good stuff. Karumu motoring I think was the name. It has the correct part number and description. And of cours I will look more into before I purchase.

I'm having a good experience with the HP model (rated at 220 foot pounds) in my VE.

$170 for pressure plate, disc, TO bearing and clutch tool.

Their OEM replacement clutch kit is under $100.
