I just got the JWT S3 cams installed in my car today. After the initial break-in, I got to finally floor it once or twice. Holy ****! About how long can I expect my OE clutch to last now that I have the cams and with all the other mods I have?
Any recommendations for a replacement when the time comes?

With good driving skills your stock clutch can last quite a while. Once you need it a good upgrade is the JWT PP with a 2001 OE disc.

Rhanks! That's about what I thought. Doesn't the JWT PP increase clamping pressure by about 30%? So that should be sufficient up to about 220hp?

well, one simple way to make your clutch last as long as possible is to slip it as little as possible. Which means... get your revs to match as best as possible when upshifting and downshifting and don't launch while slipping the clutch.

Hey DaGenesis i use to run the G20 computer with my S4 cams, your idle is not gonna be good with the g20 your car will sound like a rotory engline.
After i got my ECU on the idle is way better than before and the trottle respond is alot faster with the ECU. I think your next mod should be the ECU.

thats it?
7700 rpm???
if i get a jwt ecu for my se-r it puts the rev limiter that hi
i thought it would be higher with these cams.. i wanted to hit 8000 :D
oh well.. i guess after i do a clutch /flywheel the search begins for a used jwt ecu with s4 prog.
thanks guys

DON't REV that high on S4 cams, cause u don't want the valve to hit the piston. That's call a valve floating
Go to like 7500Rpm.

ok, thanks for all the info
Granted I only have S3's but I regularly take my car all the way up to the redline. Our cars at 7700 rpms sound SICK. I have the video from when I dyno'd and at first the car sounds all calm, then as soon as it hits about 4400 rpms it gets this mean ass growl, past 7000 rpms little kids start running away from it..:D Also I used to just have the S3's and not the ECU upgrade. The car ran fine, idled fine as well. But once I put the ECU in it was like a swift kick in the @$$. Well worth the money IMHO.
p.s. if you want to hear an insane motor, Dougnosser can rev his to 9000 rpms.
