I have reopened the buyer/seller feedback area. Between that and the less-than perfect ratings system, people can arm themselves with more info.

I have disabled the URL requirement. You can post without a URL so this will include anyone that has done deals via email, PM, etc. Obviously, URLs are preferred.

So i take it that if I still have a url to lets say the original for/sale thread that i made there will still be reference made to that thread if its copied and pasted to the url section. How soon after doing that will there be reference to the original thread? I have done a few of these but the original f/s threads have not shown up...

you can view the thread you reference by clicking the actual comment you left for the person. if you didnt leave the thread for a reference then you cant click the comment and view the thread.

I included a thread so when i click on the actual comment the thread should come up but it doesnt happen so i was wondering if it takes some time to make reference to the thread or should it be instant... Thanks

This is how it works.

A leaves + feedback for B. This increases B's feedback rating by 1. B then clicks the link that is sent with the notification and leaves a comment. This is just a comment on the first piece of feedback and will not have any effect on the rating number.

Replying to feedback left for you has no impact on your rating or the other person's rating. Visit the person's iTrader page if you want to leave positive or negative feedback.

I'm not sure about that one, but I'll make a guess and say that feedback for trades is not counted.

I think it has to do with the 1 'trade' that you have... I noticed that when I left feedback for someone and used 'trade' instead of buyer or seller.

I was thinking the same thing. That's IT no more Trade transactions for me. I need to catch up w/ Monty, and this does not help.

Fred has 51 positives (1 is a trade), 0 negatives, yet only a 45 rating.

Did you check to see if he had multiple ratings from a single person... if someone leaves more than one post, then it would look like this...

umm, so i am wondering about the URL part of the feedback....i've now twice tried to leave feedback for two different people and it keeps telling me a URL is required. when i put in a URL it tells me that it is an invalid URL. is feedback still touchy to specific areas? MATT, IN POST #28 YOU WRITE: "I have disabled the URL requirement. You can post without a URL so this will include anyone that has done deals via email, PM, etc. Obviously, URLs are preferred."

so why cant i leave feedback?

Not too long ago I enabled the URL requirement. There is a post somewhere about it. Either way, there are specific conditions that need to be met:

- The thread starter is you or the person you are leaving feedback for.
- The thread is located in the classifieds section.

It's not perfect, but an update is supposedly coming out soon. I have some major forum upgrades to do which I'm shooting to have in place by the end of the year.

i guess i am still confused. i posted in the buyer seller feedback section....see here: http://www.nissantuners.com/showthread.php?t=176607

i then sent a PM asking greg to post in the thread so i could leave feedback for him. he sent me a PM back saying he left me feedback. so i was expecting to see he posted in this thread, but did not. he was able to leave feedback for me though. what i ended up doing to leave him feedback was i used the "deal URL" that he used for my feedback.

now that part that confuses me is the thread he used for the "deal URL" is the same thread i have been trying to use the whole time! when i tried to use it again it still told me that it was an invalid URL. when i cut and pasted the URL from the feedback he used for me it worked just fine. what gives?

if you click on the link you'll see he never even posted in the thread i made in the buyer/seller feedback section.

You shouldn't be able to use a buyer/seller thread with iTrader. What thread did he use? The buyer/seller thread?

aw gees...i have no idea what your talking about with this mention of iTrader:confused:

this is the thread he used though....it is from his section:

http://www.nissantuners.com/showthread.php?t=172012

and then there is this thread matt:

http://www.nissantuners.com/showthread.php?t=175975&page=3

another forum member was trying to leave me feedback and could not....and vise versa. he has yet to post up though so we'll see.

thanx for the patience with me so far matt...am i missing something?
