Hey guys just wondering how hard/ if it's a good idea to get an aftermarket BOV for my 97 Avenir motor. I know it's a recirculating BOV and i've heard that the motor may stall or bog down with an aftermarket BOV that's not recirculating. Help me out guys.

you are correct. the stock diverter valve is of the recirculating type. if you want to upgrade, do so, just make sure that you recirculate the upgraded BOV and you'll have no problems... assuming you properly adjust your BOV.

so what's a good recirculating aftermarket BOV that creates a good sound, if there is one?

I have a forge one, no fancy as the Greddy or HKS, but i cost me 100$ (canadian) for a brand new one, and it work real fine. You can also swap the spring for a stiffer one.
