First thing first. I am doing a project car, a Datsun 280Z...not a sr20 car but listen. I have searched all over hell for the right engine/tranny combo and I finally found it. A RB26DETT out of an R32. I finally got it ordered from a guy in Aus. of all places. $3500
for the engine, tranny, ECU, harnesses, etc. The catch is the guy told me it was a HKS Kansi N1 engine w/HKS GT3037S chargers. It was shipped out thursday and should be here in a few weeks. Now my question is "does anyone know anything about these engines? All I know is its a RB series with 29K. Please help
Now question two. I am looking for a new engine/tranny for the NX. Mine has the dreaded 5th gear popout, and 142K. Any one wanna give me some suggestions? I will have almost $2700 to sink into the egg. That is the budget I'm on. Dare to give me an answer with the budget...go for it.

For the NX - I'm still not clear on ECU solutions - but this is within your budget - nets you more than 200hp and involves a bit of bottom assembly:

HP - more aggressive cam profiles

actually cheaper - if you go for the posted deal, you end up with an SR20VE with more power for $2210 vs $2500 (not incl. your own time for assembly) - check out the VE area
