what is it that defines a classic? does it just have to be a b13 body style or what?

YES.
Even though there were many Sentras before it, the B13 IS the one and only Classic.

No. Only the B13 SE-R is a "Classic". I think Tom Paule was actually the first person to call it a "Classic", way back in 95 or so when the 200SX SE-Rs were first released, and we wanted some way of differentiating them from the original B13 SE-Rs. That was on the SE-R mailing list by the way, which is why "Classic" doesnt refer to any other model of Sentra, just the SE-R.

It's also a spoof of "Coke Classic". I think I'm dating myself now though.

I think looking forward say about 20 years or so people will really look at the B13 SE-R's as classic more than now.
It was the start of several more years of high performing affordable pocket rockets. It is a true Classic a stand out!

Funny, how now that the term "classic" describes the B13. We used to call the SE-R "The BoB". Like...."hey, you see that BOB run?" or "is that you red BOB?" or "....is the BOB fixed yet?" Those who remember remember the SE-R was BOB's car.

Speaking of which, for years Ive been looking for a digital version of the commerical, "Bob."

If anyone knows where I can get it, or has it taped, please let me know.

I dont remember any other SE-R commercials (besides the ludicrous 200SX SE-R commercial that touted more passenger room than a Porsche 911).

I don't know if this is a coincidence, but here in Puerto Rico the Sentra B13 was sold until 1995. The Sentras that were sold in 1995 instead of calling them Sentra GXE or XE, all of these '95 Sentras were called "Sentra Classic". My aunt has one and all of them were 1.6L with the GA16DE. I will get a picture of the emblems.

They did that in Canada with B12s too (sold them into 1991 as "Sentra Classics").

I highly doubt there will be many classics left 20 years from now.

I highly doubt your boubt. It has been 10 years and they are still around. Now A1 GTi's are getting rare. I still see 30 year old 2002 and 510's around in abundance. 30 years. Unbelievable. And still desirable.

Due to there indestructable engines and there tough design I can see them around for a long time. I only hope that people will take care of them. Seems that the Classic's tend to get ragged out more so than alot of cars.

Yes, but in 2022 who knows what type of power we will use to power cars. My hunch is that it won't be gasoline.
