how hard is it to make the tach work on the 89-90 240 with the sr20 swap? or is it better to swap the tach/ cluster? and how much work is needed?

I heard u have to use a tac adapter to make it work. Thinking about a 90-89 car myself, just have to sell my DSM.....do I really want to do that???? go back to nissan ???? lol time will tell

Just get the '91-'94 cluster or tach. It will be alot easier then messing w/ the '89 tach. Check out www.car-part.com for used clusters.

Well you need to search for 91-94. That's the cluster you want.

Also there are a couple different listings, "Gauge cluster", "Tach", "Speedo". Search all of those and sometimes the listings will be of the full cluster.
