basiclly a cop followed me for 5 min and then he pulls me over. rollowed down window and he came up and said ur exhuast is to loud i said ok he said all it is, is a $30 fix it ticket and just fix ur car i said ok well went to get it tested and its like at 104-109db with my cat installed well ok i went to the court and asked for a extension and shit and the lady said its a point on my record and i have to go to traffic skool im like *** the hell the cop told me just a fix it ticket. and she said if i had a problem go to to them and i said ok i went to the Highway patrol and asked for the cop well this cop at the window was a asshole i told him why i needed to tlak to the one cop and he was all like laughing and shit told them the court sent me down to them to talk about it since it was suppose to be a fix it ticket well the dumb cop told me to go to the court *** they the only ones who can wave the charges so by now i was pist and drove home. i have to get it taken care of by feb but it shouldnt be a point right?:confused: :confused: exhuast to loud is only a fix it right? im guessing the cop wroite down the wrong code on the ticket??? any suggestions on *** i can do about the ticket? thanks

Damn, that sucks man. I had a state trooper once make a u-turn and come pull me over because I was pulling out of a side road and hit it and he heard the car at full throttle. He let me off with a warning.

I got a point on my insurance for unregistered. The car was parked in front of my house. Cops gave me a $100 dollar ticket, and said my insurance wouldn't go up, so I just paid it. Got my new insurance policy and hey, what do you know, it's on their *insert mad face* peices of crap..;/

ya the ticket is like 150 bucks and traffic skool but i dont think im elgible for traffic skool yet had two other tickets already a little while back for running a stop sign and speeding 105 in 55 :-( th cop let me slide for 90 lol thank god!

modified exhaust is not a moving violation(no points on record) and u are not eligible for traffic school because of that. look at the ticket and check the code the cop wrote down, then look it up online(they show up) usually there is a checkbox near the violations noting if its a correctable violation, if yes is checked, you can have a police agency sign the ticket off(once you put the stock muffler back on)..then you take that ticket to the court and pay the fine(30$ in ur case) and all is well in the world again

sounds like the courts screwin ya over.. iv got that a few times and all iv had to do was show proof of the change and thats that. you might **** talk to a lawyer if the court doesnt let you off.

fix it ticket? The last couple years I have been hearing that word, but it does not mean the same it used to be. Now, they just fine you more other than the check and fix like it used to be before. That was totally BS and false info about what they said. I feel for u, this fuckin rookie gave me a DUI for .05BAL, and I am still waiting for my court date, and it has almost been hlaf a year, soon to be one year. Fucking power hungry mother fuckers

Where I live, there are tons of Harley's riding around with straight exhaust. Those things are LOUD. Nine times out of ten, they are riding with 5 other bikes that are also LOUD. I don't think it makes much sense to let the motorcycles ride around that way (it's illegal here from what I understand) but pull over all the ricers for being too loud. Around here there are way more loud motorcycles than cars. It really chaps my hide.

You should already know that it's about the money to be made and the ricer-racers giving modded cars a bad name.

Put a Harley next to my car (VRS/magnaflow exhaust) and the difference between them is huge. The Harley will drown out every noise in the area. I don't see the logic in their laws, but screw em.
