: Sunday Picnic Idea?
ezcheese15 01-04-2006, 01:57 PM Ok, this may have been heavily considered for some reason or another, but what about using Central Park for the picnic?
I'm just wondering why that hasn't been mentioned. I've never been to NY before, so excuse my ignorance if its for some obvious reason. It just seems like it's such a famous place, that it would be great for a big picnic. Maybe not, who knows...somebody educate me.

Where will everybody park?
ezcheese15 01-04-2006, 02:58 PM Where will everybody park?
I don't know...like I said...never been there before. I don't know if there is a parking lot? I assume not, since you question it ;)
Anyway, that's why I said educate me...I know nothing about the state.
MarkSR20 01-04-2006, 03:40 PM I think the plans for the picnic have already been set in stone. I am not positive of this but I believe that is why it hasnt been talked about because it is already in writing.http://www.sr20forum.com/showthread.php?t=131410&page=3 3 posts down
david 01-04-2006, 05:02 PM While Central Park is a great place to walk around and so forth it would be a complete nightmare to try to get 50+ cars to that area. First you have to get into the city and then you have to find parking.
Its just not feasible.
Pretty White 01-04-2006, 05:55 PM Central Park is a no no. It is non car friendly, Manhattan is strictly off bounds for any gathering. I know track day is in Pennsylvania, but is going to be a multistate thing?
urbanracerone 01-04-2006, 09:39 PM i work 2 blocks away from central park, and their is not 1 parking spot in that park! i dont see how bringing 20-50 nissans possible!

+1.... how many states are we planning on covering with this?
and, while I'm posting somewhere, is there going to be a cruise with as many members as possible, like some nice backroad, where I can put my cameras to good use?

ezcheese15 01-05-2006, 04:15 AM Ok ok....like I said...I had no clue, so that's why I asked. So I get the idea that it's impossible to get to and there is nowhere to park. 'nuff said.
Fosters 01-05-2006, 08:37 AM Sounds like Torry has been watching a little too much "Friends". ;)

It's a good show! ;)
But seriously, it's weird...because I've been all over the world, and to almost every major city in the U.S......except for the northeast. I've never been northeast of D.C. I can't wait to do so!
Pretty White 01-05-2006, 02:19 PM Floyd Bennett field?
