What does everyone run and what do you suggest? I'll only be doing street driving, I never drag race though I may try it once to get an idea after I install the DET, but no racing at any time....

Anyways want a decent, reliable, streetable (no leg exercies required to operate hehe) setup....

I'm between the ACT and JWT....

Anyone?

Comments/rants/suggestions? I know ACT had some quality problems a few months ago - has anyone gotten one recently?

Get the ACT Heavy duty pressure plate w/ street disk. This setup is pretty good with DET.

My friend with the Bluebird is using a 6 puck Act disk w/ stock pressure plate and it work good as well. But he have problem getting out of first gear without no ridding his clutch. This is not the clutch that u will want for daily driving.

Their was a problem with the Act Extreme pressure plate before, the clutch won't ***-ingage. I think they fix that problem already.

Good luck

I have the JWT pressure plate and their half and half disk (half fiber half metal puck..)
they say it is good to 400hp, it is pretty on/off, can't really slip it, and for the first few weeks it was a PITA to drive but now that I am used to it I would not trade it for anything.

Might be overkill for your application, but it could take all the abuse a det could throw at it :)

The pedal feel is good, it is a bit more than stock effort but not like a leg press or anything, the engagement is on/off *** :)
