Ok Its about time but I'm cat shopping right now. I have my eye on the Catco cat from Summitracing.com. My exhaust system right now is welded all the way through (no flanges). What length cat should I get? The Catco cat is $65 or so, is it better then what the local muffler shops going to install (oem replacement)?

Thanks again.

as long as its free flowing, and maybe bigger inlet and outket then the stock cat, i would go for it. $65 is worth it for the piece of mind of having it done!

Right now I don't have the stock cat. It wasn't on the car when I bought it, used. The exhaust right now is 2.25". How about length?

i put a davico cat on my car last saturday.. so did lance.. we paid $114 each for the direct fitting davico from stranos in PA.. they waived shipping..

i thought it would be 2.5 in/out and it turned out to be 2 3/8.. big deal, it is the exact same size as my pacesetter b pipe and secondary.. i think that's all you need and a direct fit is easy to do yourself... plan on buying hardware though..

oh yeah the piece is real nice looking too..

Sorry I guess I'm not being clear. The system that's on the car right now is all welded together. There are no bolt on pieces. I can either have a 12" catco cat welded up or a 14" or 16.5".

Thanks and I do apprieciate the help. :)
