I need everyones help on this one. I installed my new digital 6 this weekend everthing was good with the install but when I started the car it would not turn over. I checked everything the connections and all I even put my old ignition and still nothing I even went stock and the same nothing. All of the fuses inside and out work fine. I am going to check and see if there is any spark from the sparkplug wires and coil. Other than that does anyone have any idea on what I could of done. Thanks

Well I checked for spark from the coil and there is nothing and I don't know why. I checked the power transistor and I don't get and power from there either I am still checking. I am going to see if maybe I cut a wire when I was talking off some electrical tape I will keep you all posted.

Okay I did a test on the power transistor connector and on the wires that were suppose to have continuity did not so this is where I am stuck where do I go from here. I ran a voltmeter on the "d" terminal and got 12volt but I grounded it on the negative battery. I am so upset I got to the field tomorrow for a week and I will be coming back to a car that is not running.

Okay I think I might find the problem. From where does the powertransistor get the power from ( what turns it on) cause I am not getting any.

I checked the troublecodes on the ECU and I got a 55 which means that everything is fine so the only thing that I can think of is that there might be a wire that is loose or maybe was disconnected. This is a pretty hard problem solver maybe the best one yet. Time to get a little more serious. If anybody has any idea don't hesitate. Thanks

The power transistor just switches one side of the coil to ground.
So, one side of the coil goes to the power transistor, the emitter of the transistor goes to ground, the base goes to the ECU.

The +12V gets fed to the other side of the coil.

- do you have +12V on the other side of the coil?
- is the emitter terminal of the transistor going to ground?
- is the collector terminal going to the coil?
- if you have a scope, do you see a pulse going to the base of the transistor?

- Did you cut ANY of the wires from the distributor?

I talked to the Stealership and they helped me out as much as they could but with no luck the car has not changed. They told me that I will have to take it to there shop so they can diagnos it correctly.

Yes there is +12 and I will check and see if the emitter is going to a ground I will also check to see if the collector terminal is going to the coil. I will definately check all of these things when I come back from the field on the March 12 and I hope that maybe I did cut a wire but I did not have that much time. Thank you very much on the important info. "probedude"

I will definately check all of these things when I come back from the field, I am a US MARINE. I leave tomorrow and come back on the March 12 and I hope that maybe I did cut a wire but I did not have that much time. Thank you very much on the important info. "probedude"
