Car: 94 nissan sentra ser
motor + mods: sr20ve + exhaust/ur pulleys/cobra MAF/exhaust/JWT ecu/intake/header/greddy mss
problem: Intake vvl not working but exhaust vvl is working.

I set the mss for intake to kick in @4500 and exhaust @4800. All I hear and feel is the exhaust kicking in at 4800. I set the intake vvl @ 4200 so i can spread the 2 apart to make sure and i am positive that it isn't kicking in.
I checked the wiring and it seems fine. There are fuses in between the power-to-solenoids and they are fine. If anyone can help me out id appreciate it. Thanks-mike

Set the mss to turn them on a low rpm, like 2000, so you can activate the solenoids by reving the motor from under the hood. Disconnect the intake solenoid, rev the motor to the set rpm, listen for the change in the tone of the engine, then disconnect the exhaust solenoid, connect the intake solenoid and repeat.

Does the '1' show on the MSS screen to show it's switching?

Andreas has a spare set of vvl selenoids if yours are shot. Let us know. I'd like to know if the selenoids can be bad.

or if you stil can't seem to hear the difference, turn both cams on below 700 rpm. this will make the solinoids turn on at idle, and the car will run super shitty :D
