Can those who have done an Fmax install in a B14, or I guess in any SE-R for that matter, leave me any tips or problems involved with the install? The kit going into the car will be an Fmax stage II kit, along with a JWT fuel rail, MSD 50 lb injectors, & 300zx fuel pump. Thanks.

Huh Huh, Huh. Plan for the car to be down 4 times longer than you anticipate, seriously. Take your time. I hope you have lots of patience, as this could really test it. As much as tried to plan ahead and did, a YEAR in advance, and as thorough as I am I still could not fathom half the issues I had.
It almost drove me insane. Good luck. It will be worth it.

With some good help we had my car done in 2 weekends (driving in between..) we did the fuel rail, injectors, ecu and pump one weekend... I drove it to be sure everything was good to go... then the rest the next weekend... only flaws I've noticed in the kit are that there's nothing with the kit to plug the second O2 sensor in the downpipe, and if you want to vent the wastegate to the atmosphere you'll need to have the downpipe welded or plugged somehow. other than that it's all pretty easy and straight forward.... surprisingly easy.

Yo... My mom lives in Bartlett, Illinois (about 10 mins north of naperville and 5 mins from Elgin)... I will be bringing my turbo car back to Chicago for the summer... hopefully we can get together and cruise down streets of Woodfield with our turbo cars...

Hey Let me know when you are going to do the install and i can help you out. Also did you order your kit yet if not talk to me before you do. The kit is not that bad we have done several and can help you out if needed. Thanks and let me know.
This is probably going to be done at my place in Indiana. Many of you said "It was really hard and took a long time but we got it done." What is so hard about the FMAX kit? Test fit turbo and manifold, trim stock fans so it will fit, bolt it on, oil and water lines, IC piping is premade for the car so you just bolt that up, injectors, ECU, and fuel pump (which will be done ahead of time of that weekend), bolt BOV to the IC piping, wastegate to manifold, and downpipe. What else am I missing?

Agreed... I found the isntall to be relatively simple... in fact, the hardest part was installing the fuel pump.

Ben,
Is this going to be another meet at your place? I would like to watch/help with this install. I could learn a lot about putting an f-max kit on a B14.

I have a thread on it in the Midwest forum. Check for details there
