FedEx GROUND is what you need, not regular FedEx.

Ground will ship just about anything... I shipped a whole exhaust system complete with only one cut in the center. I didn't even box it, just slapped on a label and covered up the cut-pipe section so the driver wouldn't cut himself on it. They took it just like that!
