Well i opened the bottle for the first time today and i'm only seeing 550psi  I was told when i bought it that it was a full bottle, which is odd because i know full is 900psi. Do i have to use the bottle warmer to warm it up or should it be 900 right away? I found a small leak, fixed it and still reads 550. TIA.

Also it's only about 40 degrees outside, and i read in the NX instructions that it's made to operate at 97 degrees + ambient temp. Would this attribute to the low pressure?

yes. low press doesn't mean empty bottle. you need a bottle warmer. =)

^^^^^^^^^^^ Like he said.

I have had full bottles that have read less than 500 psi. Warm it upi a bit and set it between 900 psi and 1000 psi. I prefer 1000 :D

daveracer- run your bottle warmer before you spray ALWAYS!!

If you are trying to see if holds pressure put the bottle in the tube and run hot water over it and the pressure should come up. Don't over pressure it.

Cool, thanks guys. I'm still a noob to nitrous but it looks really fun, atleast the install is so far! Haha. Should i keep the bottle warmer on while i do my runs at the track, or shut it off right before the run?

From what I read awhile back you let it warm up before uses. Correct me if Im wrong.

Nismo1997- If the bottle is at 500psi and its cold out it would take probably longer then the time it took you to sit in line at the track on a busy day for the bottle to warm all the way up. Keep the Bottle warmer on the WHOLE ime that you are running. If you even THINK you are gonna run turn the bottle warmer on.

Me...I had the bottle warmer hard wired to the battery with a Fuse. I did this so that even when the car is off, the bottle warmer would still be warming OR keeping the bottle at the pressure I wanted.

I used to drive around with the bottle warmer on and I would never turn it off until I was parking the car for the night. Thats what the pressure switch or temp switch that turns the bottle warmer on and off is for...so I dont have to worry. BUt I also had a gauge mounted in the dash so I could watch the pressure and make sure it wasnt ever too high.

Never spray unless you have at least 900 psi. I usually keep mine ~12-1300 hehe. To check and see how much you have in it, get a good scale. Just under 15 lbs empty, any extra weight is nitrous. Most of the time I fill mine up to 28lbs, but I also have a problem with popping the safety valves:)

It's def. pretty heavy, i'd say atleast 23-24lbs right now, maybe more. Its too cold out to go grab the bottle, i'll weigh it tomorrow :biggthump

the best way to get the bottle to take extra weight is to throw it in the freezer overnight and take it out right as you're going to take it to get filled normally a colder bottle will take more. you can also pump more when filling it but that usually blows the seals on the pump if you take it to far. :D

How about pressure regulators? Is it ok to install one on my bottle? They use it here in hospitals to regulate pressure on oxygen tanks. They also have one for nitrogen tanks.

They make bottle pressure sensitve bottle wamrers. I think NX makes one. Its not cheap though. The regular old Bottle warmers work fine.
