: Is this head still good? (Pics)

This is my second attempt at putting these pics up...I tested it and it seems to work.

Can anybody tell me if these scratches, pits...etc are normal on an SR20 head? If not, does anybody have any idea how they happened and if the head is still safe to use? TIA...

It looks like a rocker arm broke or something. Unless the cam bearing surfaces were hit, or the valve adjuster holes, it looks fine to me.

Whatcha planning on doing Mason? Rebuilding your stock block?
Still have a 10:1 motor sitting waiting! Come down and get it buddy! We can install it in a week and a half! come on mason!!

Seriously though...so it looks ok? What do you think caused all the scratches?

It is odd looking. Only thing I could think of would be a rocker was thrown in this head at some point.
