Ok i have a extremly loud clicking noise coming from the car sounds like it was axle or something.
well i took it to my mechanic he confirmed it is not my axle cvjoint or wheel bearing .

he took it to a tranny guy and he says tranny might be the problem.

The clicking happens when the car is moving any direction no matter cluctch in or out in nuetral or 1-5 gear. only goes away if im stoped. so throw out bearing i dont think thats the problem even though i know i have a bad one and i hear tiny clicks from that but before this problem pop'd up.

is my tranny busted im completely stumped from where this noise is coming from or why its happening.

if i do need a new tranny any good cheap mechanics down here in miami willing to do the swap for me ?

Sounds like a trans bearing noise , you can test it out by starting the car , in neutral push in the clutch then pull out the clutch .... do you get a noise when you pull the clutch out ..... like quiet with clutch in , but then noise when you pull it out ?? if so you have a bad transmission bearing ....

Only other thing that can cause a clicky noise that I have seen is sometimes brake pads can get loose in the brackets and shift back and forth and cause a click noise ... you can jack the car up and turn the wheels back and forth to see if you get a click when you change direction ...

nope im only getting the noise when the car is rolling. im starting to second guess the mechanic i took it to. but maybe the brake pad. im going to check that out tommrow in the daylight

Just because the boots aren't busted doesn't mean that the cv joint can't make noise. I have seen a few cars come back to my shop with a clicking cv joint months after having a cv boot replaced. Sometimes we just get to em a little to late to help but not late enough for it to be showing symptoms of being bad. Have you had a boot done anytime recently?

nope. but i think the guy just looked at the boot and said it was fine. i dont think he open'd my axle up at all. ya i determined this guy didnt do much. the noise is clearly coming from the wheel.

If the CV joint is bad, it should only click when there is power going to the wheel. Since you are saying it does it whether the clutch is in our out, It's probably one of the bearings in the trans

No, when a outer joint is bad it will usualy click real bad while the car is moving and you're turning regardless of whether the clutch is in or out.

there are just way too many moving parts to figure this one out.

i recently had the same issue.. after replacing both axles it ended up being the wheel bearings... would check that before i got into the trans...

I have a problem like this, I think it is just the TOB not retracting enough and it chattering against the PP fingers. I can get it to go away by pushing in the clutch and letting it snap back to get the TOB as car away from the fingers as possible. Make any sense? or do you think it is certianly my input shaft bearing or whatever?
