SoCal DYNO DAY!!!
Date: Saturday, March 30, 2002

Time: 8:00am-6:00pm

Hosted By:
SoCal-SERCA (SE-R Club of America)
and SoCal-240SX

If you have never dynoed your car NOW is the chance to do it cheaper than you could on your own! Even those with stock cars should do this to get a baseline power figure.

We will be doing this at: R & D DYNO Service (The same Dyno service used by Sport Compact Car)
115 East Gardena Boulevard, Carson, CA 90745

Cost for standard 2 pulls (one strap down):
$40.00. Additional pulls: $10.00
SERCA members $25.00

In order to avoid shifting people around, by making up a list now, it will be FIRST come FIRST served and then we'll start the list there. Get there at 8AM if you want to be done sooner & have stuff to do in the afternoon, but I guarantee the list will fill up, and quickly!

If you would like further information or directions for this event please
contact,Thomas Fox Subculture@myvzw.com
or (310) 892-0553.
Or,Carlos Gutierrez southwest@serca.org

Please, DO NOT contact the shop. Also, bring some money for grub with as we will be having lunch at a restaurant two blocks away, and the shop will close down for this.

See you all there!
:D

Well no "Rules" per se, however a battery tie down might be a good idea.

While I'm at it, here's a few tips since this is your first Dyno event:

Make sure your car has a "tune up" (new plugs, wires cap and rotor) prior to the Dyno Day. Turbo guys should be running at least one heat range colder on their plugs.

Check your fan belts. Cracked belts can break and on the Dyno, that can be dangerous.

Make sure your car is aligned properly. Preferably to OE specs. This is important on FWD cars as "wheel scrub" can cost you HP.

Make sure oil and coolant levels are good. You DON'T want to overheat on the rollers.

If you're using aftermarket wheels, especially 16" or larger, bring a pair of your stock wheels. Plus size wheels can throw off your results.

That's all I can think of for now.

i would go but i don't want you guys to laugh at my underpowerd sentra se. i'll probably be the most underpowed guy there. also, my alignment is off like a muther-fu@#$%, and my stock rims have no tread left on em, and im broke.

I'm, pretty sure that Mike and Rob will be making adjustments. I haven't advertised tuning this time because we have been swamped on the last couple of Dyno Days by peeps wanting them to tune their "ghetto" turbo set ups. So now, tuning will be for Nissans only. with exceptions made on a case by case basis.

And yes, yuou can bring the Xterra.

YES! Your roomate can bring his Civic.

Nope. This is a Dyno Day. NOT a install day.
