Im putting my valve cover back on and the FSM say's to use Liquid gasket. I have two different kinds of gasket stuff, Red Siclicon gasket and Permatex Form A Gasket Sealant. Which one of these should I use, or should I buy some liquied gasket? TIA

Honestly you don't really need anything, as long as the gasket is new and installed correctly, but it can't hurt to be cautious.

I got permatex red from the dealer for free. That's what they said to use and it's been fine for my valve cover. I also used it for my water pump with good results. You only need a little bit when doing the valve cover. Good luck

I use (dare I say it...) Hondabond. Got it from my buddy who used to work at a Honda dealership and it is the best sealent I've used.

Damn, with all these differnet kinds of gasket material, I'm all confused. I think we should all just use the ass gaskets I just used in the public restrooms.

Use Permatex Ultra Grey or Hondabond.
Per the FSM, the valve cover does require sealant at the half moons and the dip in the valve cover...pretty much anywhere that is not flat.
