: Which kind of gasket sealent? mpg9999 03-07-2002, 03:25 PM Im putting my valve cover back on and the FSM say's to use Liquid gasket. I have two different kinds of gasket stuff, Red Siclicon gasket and Permatex Form A Gasket Sealant. Which one of these should I use, or should I buy some liquied gasket? That's what they said to use and it's been fine for my valve cover. I also used it for my water pump with good results. You only need a little bit when doing the valve cover. Per the FSM, the valve cover does require sealant at the half moons and the dip in the valve cover...pretty much anywhere that is not flat. | ||
