ok..I will....

I am beat!
what a blast...we boarded our charter busses (3 of them) and headed to the Nissan Testing Facility...upon arrival we were let into the grounds and took the busses on the various test areas they have...road course, high speed ring, etc. We got to see the Disco Potato run around the road course being chased by a blue Skyline GT-S.!:D

We arrived back from the test grounds to Brown & Brown Nissan..and had our Meet and Greet....free Dominos pizza and drinks! yeah!

After that we headed to Firebird Raceway for the drags...multiple members ran.and some posted some really good times. The Disco potato ran...and after it's 1st run, most of us left LOL! (15.7:D ) I'm sure they got a better time after we left..but it was time to go eat again..so off we went.and then home....

In between all the events..we had ample opportunities to get to know fellow peeps, and check out their cars...

Tomorrow we head to Phoenix Int. Raceway for the Hot lapping session..6 am - 5pm..

Dude, brad.. Its Firebird International Raceway that the track event is at... The same place the drags were at last night. You guys get totally trashed after the drags or what?! hehe

Everything is kicking ass so far! Really wish we started a post before hand about meeting up with fellow forum members so we could put faces to the names :) Lots of people were sportin' the good ol sr20deforum.com tshirts yesterday :)

Sup ye'all...

Well day two is over.and whoo! what a day..the hot lapping was tight! There are some damn good drivers in this group!!:D

And some..that, well...we won't mention! LOL! The highlights were, getting the cars weighed/corner weighted, HotShot and Mossy Nissan booths...the course itself, and all the awesome folks that came out. We had a few misfortunes car wise, but nothing huge..no accidents, but Kyles car spun a bearing and I think it was Mike Magers tranny went kapoot...the Disco Potato had some tire issues..and the porta johns smelled reaaaal bad! LOL..it was a beautiful day to be trackside...tomorrow is the BBQ/Car show/Raffle..and sadly, the last day. Will post the results of tomorrows events....

Convention day 3.has come and gone...

Awww...it is over, what a sad...very tiring day....Car show/raffle BBQ...

We started arriving around 10 ish, and lining up by car type. Judging got underway for the show, as vendors set up there booths, and tents. The food started to arrive and voting concluded..we ate, we counted and we BS'd some more!

The awards were dished out, and on to the raffle...there were awesome prizes given out, ACT cluth, pulley sets, Phantom grip LSD....Stillen strut tower bars, under car braces, Eibach hats/shirts galore...hose kits, JWT pop's, PR CAI, HS gift certs, and many other prizes...Kyle Davis won the JDM sr20 from SR20 developement..spin a bearing on the track the day before, win a motor the day after! Not bad...there were SMC shifters, B&M shifter..some Pacesetter stuff...(you PS guys know who you are)! As well as filters and assorted other prizes....

All I have to say is....if you missed it.....you missed a good one.!:D

I'm sure others will add to this..I'm tired...I'm going to bed for a day or two...

Whew! What a blast! It was fun partying with all of you guys, and getting to place names with faces. I think I have a collective 8 hours of sleep from the last 4 days, so I'm off to bed. Thanks to all members who partied at "club" D-280 on fri/sat night, and participated in "Operation: Hammer Kojima". Peace!

The conevntion was awesome I must say. I had a great time while being here and getting away from work/home/east coast weather. The best thing about the convention was "The Free Booze" along with matching faces to screen names as well as voices over the phone. To those who missed out try not to miss next year as I know it will be just as great if not better.

Ohh BTW the Party upstairs was too good!!!! There was more activity upstairs than anything else. Kinda glad the party wasn't pool side with all these drunken monkeys around :)

Yes, just got back from the convention. 1000 miles and just under 13 hours later, I'm ready to get some sleep, but the convention was a blast. Turbo SE-R's all over the place, and just a lot of great people to hang out with. I also snuck a ride in a Skyline! :D

And yeah, on Saturday, the party upstairs was out of control!! Kojima is a human quote machine indeed. HE has a great analogy with turbos. Awesome stuff.

I'll definitely be there next year.

Ah, correction.. Tim Rogers won the motor... my won the ACT clutch, and Tim didn't need the motor, but did need a clutch..so my cousin offered to swap him the clutch for the motor, to get my car going again.. and I'm very thankful!

It was a great time (damn I'm still tired).

Thanks to all you that helped.

Damn right Luis. AND DON'T ANY OF YOU FORGET THAT IF YOU WERE THERE. If anything gets out we could all be possibly affected if we should run for a political position in the future :)

Well, that was a long 3 days for me! I had a blast, sure was alot of work! I had a great time meeting new people, and hanging out with old friends from afar.

I'd like to send out a huge thanks to all the people and vendors involved in helping us to make this years convention all that it turned out to be!!

First I'd like to thank my wife Michelle for allowing me to spend so much time on the planning/working of the convention, I'd also like to thank her for making all but 2 of the flags we used for the track event (Scott Higashi was cool enough to make the last two, thanks Scott!) So now I've got SHigSpeed Flags? ;-) Michelle also took care of the food preperations, so if you liked the food, she's the one to blame.

Next I'd like to thank all of the AZ-SERCA crew, you guys ROCK! Chuck, Justin, Jason, Terry, Eric, Joe, Alex, Brad and Keith (and my cousin "Jeremy" that came down from Reno just to check all this SE-R stuff out, who also won a clutch in the raffle, and swapped it to Tim for the motor he won, then he gave it to me!). You guys all did your part, and assisted in a great convention!

The sponsors that kicked down for the raffle, Mossy Nissan, HotShot Performance, Place Racing, SR20 Dev, Volcano Polishing, Apex, Street Flight (these vendors came out and represented at the convention!).. Aswell as all the other sponsors that donated some great items for the raffle! The list of all the vendors is located at:

http://www.serca.org/convention/sponsors.html

To the guys that helped with the tech on track day, (Rob Cadle, Ben Rockwell, Mike Kojima, and..Carlos I think..ah.. I don't know who else, I was real busy that morning.
Also, a special thanks to Carlos and Socal SERCA.. Because of Carlos' assisting me, we were able to setup the club membership of SERCA and NASA! That's right.. for all of you that are out there and SERCA members... you're now a member of NASA! Thanks again Carlos for all your help man, you came through for me and SERCA again!

Next on my list is John Lindsey with NASA National, John jumped on a plane late Friday night, to come here from LA just for the day on Sat, to help us run a VERY smooth track event. He brought along two of the guys from NASA-AZ, and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. I see this as the start of a long mutually beneficial relationship between NASA and SERCA.. Thanks John!

Also I'd like to throw a HUGE thanks to the people that stepped up and offered to work the corners at the track day! It was a bit sunny out, and some got too much sun, but with out your help, the track event would not have went so well!

For those of you that did run at the track event, you guys did a great job as well.. there were no major off course issues, no seriously banged up cars (that I know of), and I think my car was the only one that spun a rod bearing. ;-( Again, I'd like to thank my cousin for swapping the clutch he won to Tim for that motor Tim won from SR20Dev... I can use it now!

Lastly, the phrase(s) I came away with from this convention:

"Flat spotted/cords showing tire, Spun rod bearing, damn my seat's is now stretched, wouldn't be a convention with out Kojima!!"
"If Paule tells you to sit back down, DON'T DO IT!!"
