Hello, i am looking for a car for my girlfriend. It HAS to be $500 and under. 5-speed or auto, doesn't matter. It must run and drive. It must have minimal rust, if any. I will consider ANY car. I am thinking 1994 and up, but will consider anything.

I found a 94 Mazda 626 and a 94 Honda Civic for $450 a piece. They run and drive, but they are in pretty rough condition. I'd like something in better condition, body-wise, than those two. Nowhere near perfect, just not rotting.

I am selling my 94 Protege DX... Its in okay condition, good mechanically, cosmetically it needs a rear window from a break in. and has no rust. Its a 5-speed and was my baby before I conformed to Nissan. It needs a little bit of work and I would be willing to negotiate the price. It says 975 but I can go lower 200 - 300 lower... I'd check out craigslist Dave. I'm sure you have but make sure check it on a regular basis. I seen a lot of good deals but when I e-mailed or called they were already sold.

Hey dave since you said something I have been looking. I found a 97 Sentra with 160,000 for 600. I guess you were right and can find these kind of things when you look!
