Since I got your attention....

sup guys.... okay to make things short since our attention span is like 2 seconds besides looking at porn.....

I just got the GT3071R and I havent started the car for 4 months now and the whole car is ripped apart (except the block of course) ... i read many many threads and what not, so im aware on a few things. A few things that i pick up before placing this snail on....

some say that i need to soaked the rod bearings with oil before starting the car by either dropping the oil pan or that special procedure a forum member posted so i dont throw a rod. Whats the easiest and safest? i also read oil restrictors that need to be put on for the t25 and not on the t3 got that part...however it goes where in the line? any additions, pictures and warnings before i put everything together?

I just want MORE additional info and "what I need to do" before anything so i dont blow shit. at least let me enjoy the boost more than a month.

thanks again and much love. :D

the gt3071 does need an oil restrictor. you can buy one from ATPturbo. As far as what i did was pour a little oil in the new snail and then put the restrictor in. Pull the ignitor harness off and turn the car over until oil comes out of the fitting on the feed line to the turbo. Then screw the fitting onto the restrictor and repeat priming for about 10 seconds. Plug harness back in a fire it up. I do the priming deal everytime i leave the car sit for more than a month or whenever turbo comes off. I also do this after the car sits over winter~about 5 months and i have never had any problems. Right or wrong it has worked for me thus far.

Others will chime in if another proceedure should also be followed.

What do you need other people to tune into to? Prime the thing like he said, take your spark off and turn the car over - it will pump oil anywheres oil needs to go , without the heat and pressure of combustion happening. After your happy rehook up your spark and fire it up.

but i read here that you DONT turn the car over just by pulling the spark plug because the rod bearing in the motor are dried up since its been sitting for months. they said pull the oil pan off lube the rod bearings up and MANUALLY turn the car. thats why im double checking with people since people have opinions and different experiences. you know? i can post links i saved on my computer but things may change by that time.

I would disconnect the fuel pump fuse too so gas isn't being pumped in when you're cranking over the motor to prime the oil.

If your really worried about it, youll change the rod bearings.

but otherwise just prime the oil pump and youll be fine.
