Hi Everyone,

Well I have had a lot going on with my car in the past 2-1/2 years, ideas to other ideas to crazy ideas and now to what pictures will tell...

It basically started as this: Sanding and sanding and welding and smoothing etc.

Which then turned to this: Primer is my friend
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v700/marksr20/a65cc7da.jpg

Which now looks like this: Prepping for paint is not fun, but the outcome has its up's.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v700/marksr20/8c8ad55e.jpg

Now I have been trying to figure out what to do for aftermarket parts to the car and I never in my wildest dreams would have taken my car apart this far. But as I got farther and farther into it that is when myself and the elite team decided that it is better to do everything while it is all apart than to take it apart again.

So the picture below states what was done to get the smurf to where I wanted it to be:

I will have some more pics as time goes on, a few parts came in today that will help me along the road to completion (Fuel pump, Short shifter, motor mounts) so the motor will be going in shortly.

It's looking good man! :biggthump Is that an XS Power intercooler/ Kit? I bought that kit also. I've been trying to figure out how I was going to mount that thing. I had planned on mounting it like that, but I was going to notch out the bumper support and slide the intercooler up in it and bolt it through the top. Why did you cut out the support like that? Also, have you fit your bumper cover yet? If so how does it look? I'm worried that the intercooler will hang past the bottom of the bumper cover, what do you think? If it does, I will probably have to buy a lip kit to cover it. More money going out!

I was under the same impression (the IC is not from XS, its from a company out of FL in the Tampa area. I can get the name for you if you would like, I forgot what it was) its a 4" core and what a PITA to mount. It is very close to going under the bumper cover. I have custom pipes being made as we speak. I was looking into the stillen lip for the car anyways and that will definitly cover the area. I cut the bumper support like that because I didnt want to cut the radiator support, if I wanted to replace the bumper support later on it is a lot easier than a radiator support.

I was more worried about ground clearence, it has about 7-1/2" of clearence eyeballing where the car would be fender-tire. I was just trying to get an idea of what we would be up against, if I go any higher with it the Grille wont fit without the rad. support being cut. Its a give and take fight, you will definitly find the happy medium when you put it on your car.

Yeah, my intercooler looks the same as yours. When I bought mine it came complete with piping, couplers, and clamps. It's was an awesome deal, I bought it from SS Autochrome. What year is your car? I have a 96 200sx, so it has a different bumper cover than the 98 200sx and 99 se-l, just wondering because I was thinking about the stillen lip or the one that syndicate kustomz sells. I don't want to have my IC hanging down below the bumper exposed either.
