What the benefits to having a bored out throttle body in a N/A car as well as a turbo car if any. Is there any substantial gain in either form.

I have heard that there is no benifit to a bored throttle body on a NA car. Turbo cars can see a benifit this is explained well in the thread "turbo DE scares V8's" in the turbo forum. Check page 3 I think. With out a JWT ecu I would think it would make your car run lean also. Very bad idea.

Um... If i'm not mistaken, what was bored was the MAF, not the throttle body. :)

My mistake (been thinking turbo all day). For what it's worth a bored throttle body didn't give Mike K. any real extra power in his buildup but it did give him better throttle response on his NA car. He liked the mod on his car for that reason alone.
