First off, big thanks to SinisterSentra91 for taking the time to do a wiring diagram for me. It would have taken me way too long to try and figure it out on my own.

Here's a list of items you need to get the job done. (This is if you want to use my method, there are other ways to do it also).

Wiring diagram
Digital Cluster from 91-93 NX1600 (with harness!!)
Crimper tool
Interlocking connectors (I used a 15 pin and a 12 pin)

This is the wiring diagram provided by sinistersentra91

click here (http://www.floridasr20s.com/gallery/albums/album70/AnalogtoDigital3.jpg) for a bigger picture.

Here is the crimper you need, connectors, and plug. (that's a 6 pin connector, which I did not use, only used for picture purposes :D )

Best way to do this is take a wire one at a time from the digi cluster, put the pin on there, stick it in the connector, and do the same to the other side once you find the wire coming out of your harness.

I decided not to cut the stock plugs in case I ever wanted to swich back, I just tuck new harness behind the dash, and use the analog one. I just stripped each wire, and wrapped the wire from the new harness on. I'll go back and redo this next time I pull the dash out.

Its pretty time consuming finding each wire on the harness, stripping it, putting the pin, matching it up, etc. but do that one by one for each side of the harness. Depending on what factory options your car and the digi cluster car had, there will be some wires missing. IE, my cluster didn't have a cruise wire, and O/D wire, so there will be close to 30 wires total.

When you're done, you're going to have a lot of wires coming out of each plug.

Use some electrical tape to make things a little neater.

When its all said and done, there will be a lot of wires, don't let this next pic scare you, its not for the faint of heart

I failed to get a pic of the back of the digi cluster after the harness was made, but I'll get that up soon, since I need to pull my cluster out again in a few days.

Here's what it looks like when done.

The speedo does work, however after 30mph, its a bit off. And at around 55 on the anlog cluster, the digi one shows 60. So the faster you go, the more off it is. Hopefully the NX1600 speedo sensor will correct this problem.

I tested this by using both clusters, analog one in the dash, digi one in my lap

The tach on mine does not work, but the wiring diagram is correct, I tested another cluster, and that one worked just fine. So I need to find myself another one.

As soon as sinistersentra91 sends me the link, I'll post up the wiring diagram. He's still working on a solution for the dimmer at the moment.

And here's a random pic of the cluster I took at night.

Well, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. If you guys have any questions, ask away while its still fresh in my mind.

i doubt the speedosensors are interchangeable...

i did it without any diagrams from this site.., had to change about 20 wires..took like 10 hours

can anyone confirm if the GA sensor will fit in the SR tranny?

Hmm... How about if we take the gear off the end of the GA sensor and replace the SR gear with it?

Anyone have a pic of a GA speedo sensor?

whether it is an GA pinion or not that should not matter because if you think about it you drop an SR20 into a GA16 powered car the speedometer wont be off, either the cluster it self is that off or there is a difference between the the automatic and manual clusters therefore there is a difference in the pinions.

doesnt really matter to me *** mine is accuarate *** i drive a 1.6 ta ha

I'll be on the lookout for a different cluster this weekend since the tach is busted on mine. If I find a manual nx1600, I'll take the speedo pinion and try it out.

I am getting a manual Digi Dash, but I have a 92 NX2000, so I will need the digital speedo sensor. I guess they dont have them for the SR20, but I assume that one for the 1.6 will fit in my tranny? And it has to be a manual speed sensor, as opposed to an auto speed sensor. Or are they just the same. lastly, anyone have one! :)

Im pretty sure you can use a 1.6L speed pinion I dont see why not, the differences between a manual and an auto speed sensors have not been confirmed fully yet. You can probably find one all day long in the local junkyards just get one from a Sentra

Thanks, but Im not sure what this speed pinion is. Is that whats in the dash? Sorry for being stupid, I know motors, but Im new to dashes/electrical. Thanks!

follow your speedometer cable from where it goes through the firewall down to the transmission, the end of the speedometer cable will screw onto the transmission, the part it screws onto is the speed pinion, it is held into the transmission by one 10mm bolt, unbolt that and pry up on it to pop it out of the transmission, be careful to not pry to hard around where the bolt goes, as they tend to be in the transmission pretty good, and you can break off the tab that the bolt goes through, I know from experience lol
