I have a 96 200sx with the "slow ass 96 sydrome". I know that this is because of bad cams, but is it just the intake cam that goes bad?? I noticed a guy in the forsale/wtb forum with a 96 that was looking for both the 91 exhaust and intake cams. Also what is the performance difference on a stock se-r with 91 cams or jwt cams. I am still undecided as to which cams i want to buy. Is the extra 3-4 hundred dollars worth it for the jwt? what would you recommend?
Also is there any other problems that can cause the 96's to be slow. I saw another thread about what year to buy, and a guy said that some 96's have the slow 96 sydrome and that cams usually fix this but not always. Is there a chance that me getting new cams isn't going to fix my problem?
ok my last question... I want to advance my timing to about 19 *, but the highest octane gas i can get around here is 91. Is this going to be a problem if i advance it to 19*?? What do you think i can safley advance it to using 91 octane?
Thanks a lot,
Tom
