I want to put some 6x9 speakers in the rear. The 6.5s aren't cutting it any more.
Does anyone have them in the rear? Any writeups would be helpful.

Do yourself a favor and kill your rear fill alltogether. Get a small amp and a nice set of 6.5" components and you'll be MUCH happier. Rear fill will just interfere with your imaging up front. The rear speakers are designed solely to accomidate people in the back seat...and frankly I doubt you'll have that many people in your 200sx.

I would recommend Exile Audio Components 6.5". They're a shallow mid that will actually fit in our door. Then just buy a $100ish amp (old Directed is good) that puts out 75-125 watts RMS and you'll be much happier.

I was thinking about just getting an amp, but I thought getting some 6x9s would be eaiser. So a 75-125 watt amp will be ok and not blow my speakers?
I have some oversized 6.5 4-way Pioneer 250w in the rear and 6.5 4-way Pioneer 220w in the front.

To put in 6x9's back there, you'll probably have to cut your deck. Plus, oval speakers do not produce good sound. As I said before, check out a 6.5 component set for the front like the one i recommended and a 75-125 watt amp. It shouldn't be that expensive and you'll be astonished by the results!

i got rid of my speakers back there. I have a set of Kenwood dual mags in the doors and thats good enough.

My 98 Sentra SE came with 6 x 9 speakers in the rear. From the looks of it the previous owner just cut the rear deck to fit the speakers then they cut the rear deck cover and mounted the speaker covers on there. It actually sounds very good. Good Mids and Lows in the rear, while the front presents good Mids and Highs. I was even thinking of putting in a sub before I even heard how it sounded but now im sure I wont need it......Good Mod in audio IMO...

I just want to get confirmation on this.
So, If I buy a 75-125 watt amp and hook all 4 of my speakers up to it, my speakers won't blow? Is this right? Or do I hook up the amp to my stereo.
(I'm pretty dumb when it comes amps and subs)

You need new speakers for the front. Sell all four of your speakers. Buy a component set for up front and then amplify those speakers. Sounds will be good.
