well, i wrecked my b14, and picked up a 93.5 p10 with a new jdm highport. i like the car, it runs well. the strange thing is, where the se-r would not do much below 4000rpm, this car seems like it picks up better even at a little below 3000rpm, but it seems like it runs out of steam at higher speeds. but it will be doing 80mph @ 4000rpm in 4th gear, whereas the se-r was doing 80mph @ 4000rpm in 5th gear. the g is bons stock, and the se-r had i/h/e. can someone explain this to me? i need to replace the tranny on the p10 because it pops out of first gear sometimes when engaging the clutch, so i figured i would put the se-r tranny on because it has lsd and doesn't pop out of first. i've read about the g20 tranny having longer gears, would the se-r tranny have any trouble pulling the extra weight of the p10 around, compared to the se-r? thanks- jeff

the b13 tranny has a quicker gear ratio..u have to use 93.5 g 20t with lsd axles

well, i'm kinda liking the gears on the g20, i can get to about 70 in 2nd, but i don't know if that's totally attributed to the gears, or if the 10.5 compression has anything to do with the seemingly wider power band. i can score another g20 tranny locally, but if i could put my se-r tranny on i think it might something serious.
10.5 compression? how ya get that number?

I'm actually a big fan of the P10 tranny's gears. I just drove mine for the 1st time to work today, and I like the longer gears in this car. Granted I'm used to SE-R trannys in my NX & (obviously) SE-R.
But it is hard to argue w/ a spare tranny in the garage unless sourcing axles becomes a hassle.

i agree, this thing is pretty impressive, as far as highway pulls, but i still miss the b14:( . everything about the way it handled that i took for granted, i'm missing now. maybe i can make the p10 step up and fill the shoes.
