By the way I paid $1000 for my 1993 NX that needed a motor. I thought it was a fair price and this definitely looks like a great deal for a car. TalkingEAR 03-11-2002, 09:50 PM yeah I remember when my SR20DE timing chain snapped, boy that was a nasty sound. when I took the motor apart, I found holes in the pistons and pieces in the oil pan, the motor was junk. I know NX2000's I think they doorjams were colored over for the picture. I bet the door hook has stress cracks they don't want you to see. I didn't let him know that I knew the reserve and he wants $1450 to buy the car outright. He says he's selling it for a girl thats driven it, she owes 1050 on it and he has to pay off a mechanic and make money him self before he'll sell it... For anyone else that may be interested as an idea to get it from PA to my house (Right on the ohio river at cincy, ohio) is $495 at the cheapest through a trucking company. He is saying he may have another mechanic look at it because the orginal one told him the timing - BELT - not chain had to be replaced, but others said there is no way... (I doubt a SR20 busted a chain at 70k too unless something was defective from the get go) I'd buy it at 1100, but 1450+500 shipping + at least a motor at $500 and not knowing about the tranny/clutch/axles and or anything else is pretty scary..... I'll stick to my current projects for now I guess :-( On the other hand in the cincy area I found a NX for a grand but the guy doesn't know if its a 1600 or 2000 lol... I'm getting the VIN tommorow (since he says it doesn't have any writing on the back) and I'll look into it.... but it only needs a waterpump, and since its soooo close to KY hehehe he is willing to trade for an older truck.... lol Chris focus 03-13-2002, 04:46 PM Some one bought it Auction is closed.
