I have a 92 classic with all bolt ons and s3's. I was wondering if i got a JWT ecu and valve springs...what's the highest i can rev it???I think i might make a little more power above the stock rev limit cause i catch myself hitting the limit cause it feels lik it's still pulling hard.. Let me know any info..Thanks

i have the S3's and JWT ECU and from what i remember the Rev Limit is 7800 rpm, after that the HP will start dropping.

i take it to 7,600 most of the time with my S4 cams and jwt ecu, u start losing power after that and have a chance of flying your rocker.

If anyone don't know about this, Tomai make rocker arm stopper for sr20de motor.

The chance is there, but barely. Just like the chance is there you could get into a bad accident when you drive somewhere.

JWT safely sets the rev limit at 7800rpms, with the S4 cams, I think it's still beneficial to take it that high, at least in 1st gear.

the highest JWT will set your rev limiter to is 7950. i wouldnt rev this high without C series cams and their titanium retainers and their upgraded springs

I have a 91 Classic w/S3s, At the track(and sometimes on open roads;)) I rev all the way up to the 8k line(don't really know how accurate my stock tach is) but no ill effects yet. 150K miles(on the head w/stock valvetrain).
My JWT ECU was installed in Fall 98', don't know if programming changed at all, but I remember asking what the redline was and 8K was the # that stuck w/me.IMHO
Thanks,
Chris

unless otherwise specified, all JWT rev limiters are set to 7700 rpm. your tach is off.

I was talking to Clark about this last week and he told me that they don't have a map for anything over 8000rpm so the highest they will set the ECU is 7950.

Ben called me to confirm I wanted it programmed that high because he said they normally only program to 7400. I thought it was higher than that. (Don't trust Ben) But he said they were going to include a disclaimer with my ECU because of my 7950 request. Like that makes a difference.

I was actually hoping and wishing they could set it higher than 7950 because I'll be needing it with an SR20VE with SR16 cams but no-can-do.

My tach must be off, my car pulls to 7800 with stock ecu :D

My tach says my fuel cut (w/JWT) is 8125rpm, but my dyno graph says 7800-ish.

The tach is not ultimately reliable for precise measurements. But I do like to think Im shifting @8k+!!

Unless requested, I thought JWT only programs the 95+ ECU for 7500 rev limit... I'm planning on running the S3's with my soon-to-be turbo setup... hope I don't really need the extra 300+ rev's...
