Hey fellow 2k'ers
Looking for some opinions on what to do to my NX

This is a pic that my girlfriend doctored up for me using photo shop, neither of the the 2 NX's are mine but this was the best rear pics I could find to doctor up.

She added the spoiler and the lights.

My NX is red but we're getting it painted next month, so would appreciate opinions on colour, the spoiler (it is a real spoiler, just not sure if it will be possible to fit on yet), and I've already ordered the led's. The picture is a bit miss leading because the line around the tail light will be definate(other wise the paint would crack).

What do you think?:D

The taillights remind me of a pick 1BAD_NX posted last month.

I think they were on a 100NX. I like them.

The way you are are doing it looks like a fair bit of work ! good luck. Post some picks when your done.

Thanks.

They are actually the stock lights sanded/scuffed up and then painted. We drilled out the holes to insert the 2-1/2" led's. We have a parts car so we basically had an extra set of lights to screw up on, so we actually could just plug the second set of stock lights back in, if we wanted to.

The way we wired them up, on each side, the inside one only comes on when we turn our lights on (tail or running). The middle and outside ones are wired the same as each other, they both come on when we hit the brakes and if we signal they both blink on that side but stay solid on the other side when we hit the brakes at the same time. We actually screwed up when we ordered the led's, we should have ordered signal led's which have 3 prongs, ours all have 2. So we picked up a little gizmo at Lordco (a auto parts store) which is meant for wiring up trailer lights. This gizmo basically tells the lights which function overrides the other (signal over brake function).

The spoiler was meant for a volvo, we just ground the s**t out of the mounting point untill the angles worked for our hatch.

hmm, looks ok to me. i dont like the double upper brake lights too much... the leds look pretty nice. but i dunno. i guess i just like the stock look better. nice work though it looks like a clean job.

Thanks

Yeah I know the double brake light is kinda weird but we wanted the extra brake led's to possibly deflect harassment from the cops, here they literally can give you a ticket for any mod. This way they can't say they don't see me braking LOL!

Basically we wanted something unique, now for those damn headlights, JK, no cash for that, and not worth the time.

Yeah, you either love em or hate em. I think we acheived originality and that's what we were after.
