If your SR20 car has an automatic please respond. Also comment on your impression of its performance.

If your dissapointed with your auto SE-R a good way to cure that is to get the Hotshot Header some lightweight wheels lower profile tires and the pulleys 2 or 4 set your car will rev faster and you'll feel happier

I have an auto 2000 Sentra SE and sometimes it can suck pretty bad. But then sometimes its cool(traffic, or when seriously tired or sick). I also kinda like only having to steer when I'm autoXing. Sometimes I'm glad i have the auto, but most of the time I wish it was a 5spd.

"hi i'm adam, and i drive a 99 AUTO sentra"

i didn't buy the car new, but i haven't had a bad thing happen so far. i never learned how to drive stick, and if i wanted a manual, i wouldn't have gotten a nissan. these things are hard enough to find in my state. and i have no clue how i lucked out finding this one in my town. i'm just happy i'm the ONLY one with a decent sentra here. i'm happy as hell with the performance so far. i don't know how they're supposed to run, but mine's stock for the moment (at least under the hood). the next few things i get will be strictly performance ***.

I used to have an AUTO '93 SE-R. It was my first car and I didnt' know how to drive stick then. Stock it was pretty weak but as I modded it it responded pretty well. I don't remember it seeming as fast as the '92 manual trans. SE-R I now have, though. Still, the AUTO one was great for bracket drag racing. I could torque brake it at the start, barely squeal the tires and come out with almost the exact same 1/8 or 1/4 mile time every time! That consistency won me a few trophys.

2k sentra.

Auto sucks, but I bought it for a reason, I drive alot in rush hour.

Headers and pullies made a huge differnce, but once i get to 4th gear I just stop moving for awhile.

Being one of the few auto classics i feel special....no just got a car no one else has it seems. Hopeing to have a header sometime in the summer and possibly put some pullies on it. I dont care its a highway slut right now. Going to find me another one soon I hope, 5 speed ***. I like the auto it works just fine. Sometimes little bit of a pain, like getting off the line but not like i do any racing. If you learn to put your foot down faster or earlier you can get the timing on the downshifts down. Performance...well it has some just make sure the timeing is set right and all the normal stuff like tps and maf stuff. She'll scratch the tires occasionly when i try sometimes when im not. Leave it out of 4th for around town driving ***, bad on the tranny and horrible for any accelration. I dont know why we dont get better gas mileage cause we run 500rpms less or so on the highway. And if you got someone that cant drive you could take them cause the tall gears, 2nd good to 69mph. One time i was mad found out that it shifts to 4th at 110 or there abouts. Backed off not too long after that, dont drive while mad is the lesson there. Just do the normal mods and you will be fine. And anyone without them id recomend ad22vf's since autos are harder on brakes by their nature. Just dont expect to beat anyone off the line unless you get a level 10 or something. Oh det's are nice also, Lionel Stackhouse has one on his det. Says really nice cause you never lose boost between shifts since there is always engine load. Want to drive one sometime. One thing to remember is that once you pass about 200hp or so there is serious problems with the clutch material in the tranny chunking and cloging things.

I also have a automatic on my B15 and really I don't mind owning it cause I do alot of driving in the city...but the performance isn't that bad at all...but oe good thing about owning a auto is the consistancy of track times:D

But yeah I do regret buying an automatic but when I went into the dealership I had no intention of hooking it up.....

But hey I missed owning a stick and I wanted the more power and the fun of driving a stick so I had to go out and buy a classic :D

I have a 93 auto. My wife bought this car a few years before I knew her. She thought it was "sporty looking". Its mine now and she refuses to ride in it anymore. Probably because it is gutted in preperation for an se-r cup roll cage. I have dumped the stock shifter and adapted a domestic ratchet shifter to fit. It is nice to be able to hit the rev limiter without fear of pushing the shifter into an unwanted gear or worse! I may do a swap later but in the mean time if my auto breaks there are plenty to be had for cheap! The pop charger, Power steering eliminator kit and no interior have helped get things moving.

I plan to get a stick and swap it early next year. Just so that I will be able to launch higher than 2k, when I go to the strip.

I have a 97 auto 200sx. Stock the car was not very fun, but with all the mods I have now, I love my car! I have CAI, full 2 1/2 inch exhaust, cams, walbro, G20 ECU, and 75 shot NOS. It hauls ass. All doubters can meet me at the track any day.
