I bought a SR20DET block and head assembly on eBay. The packing done for shipping was bad, the parts shifted around and made a hole in the box. Three of the five main bearing caps fell out (or the guy didn't ship them). So now I need a set of main bearing caps.
I have looked on line, but have not found any place that sells them (the Nissan site doesn't seem to have online parts ordering).

Anyone out there with a blown block that would like to sell a set of caps??

if you get main bearing caps you will need to align bore the block. i have some that i can sell you but i wont be able to get them till next weekend

main caps are made for specific motors you can't just drop them in from another motor, if you have a good machinist you can buy sr20turbofreak's but if you don't you will ruin your motor

I would sell them for $65 shipped. and this is for all 5. no bolts or girdle.

Sorry for the delay, but we are digging out from the snowstorm. Got about 2 feet of snow.

I would also like to ask if you have a front cover/oil pump assembly and an oil pan set (both parts). I did not get these with the block I purchased.

We've been shoveling snow for two days now, finally finished. This is heart attack city.

Another member nissansr20nx (http://www.sr20forum.com/member.php?u=13256) is willing to sell the caps, oil pans, and front cover all as one package, so if my wife agrees, I think I will go with that. Thank you all for your help, I appreciate it.

I thought I would explain what I am up to, in case anyone was interested.
I own a 92 NX2000 with 180K on it. It was hit from behind and rammed a Jersey barrier on the interstate. The car was totalled, but still runs and drives fine.
My plan was to buy some used performance parts on ebay and try to have some inexpensive fun with the car.
I have so far collected

a SER20DET block and crank (obviously minus 3 main caps)
a complete SR20DET head (valves, springs, rockers, oiling, etc, no cams)
a pair of SR20DET cams and gears
a new set of forged pistons, pins, and rings
a set of rods
a water pump
a used clutch assembly
a complete stock turbo setup (manifolds, MAF, throttle body, intercooler, piping, injectors, fuel rails, etc)

I need the following
front cover
oil pans
oil strainer
main caps
gasket set
bearings
underdrive pulleys
new chain kit
distributor
valve cover


maybe a starter


When I get all of the parts, I will post some pictures of the engine assembly.
