I know that this has been discussed that front strut tower bars need to be modded to fit on a '98 due to emissions stuff, but I was wondering are there any that fit with NO modifications now? I have seen Naji's website which shows how to modify the strut tower bar, but I don't feel like cutting it up and getting it welded etc... I would rather just buy something that I can straight bolt on... I have seen plenty of strut tower bars go on ebay for cheap such as : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1812337804 and they do say it fits 95-99, but I wanted to check it out with you guys first, since I would rather trust you guys more than the seller since you guys are much more knowledgeable about these cars i would bet... so the main thing is there a bar that would fit without modifications, as I will e-mail the seller too, but I am 99% sure he will say it will fit, regardless whether it actually does fit or not....

The Freedom Design Strut Bar will fit with no modifications. It is the one pictured below. I had it on before I went to the DET. I just had to adjust/twist it forward so that it was in front of the emissions crap. http://et.byu.edu/~rpt/pictures/engine.jpg

I use the one from Courtesy without any major modifications. I do have motor mounts.
I pulled it forward before tightening it, and then I looked at the emissions thingy that was close to hitting it and filed away about 1/4" of the gold-colored cylinder from the edge near the swaybar.

Courtesy fit on my 98 with no modifications at all, it is adjustable so you can pull it forward.

i did the file trick too. also, if you put some washers under the passenger side of the stb mounting plate, it'll give you some added room.
