spdracerUT 02-15-2006, 09:43 AM http://www.floridadrift.com/oss/Jay/IMG00001.JPG
this car was f#&*ing stolen last night from a Condo Complex in Altamonte Springs behind the Discount auto warehouse. I had it on EBAY with buyers lined up, this could not have happened at a worse time. It had FLat Black Stock SE wheels with brand new tires when it was taken, other than that, everything was the same. Put the word out to everyone you know, I had no insurance on it, if it never shows up, its a total loss.... god damn $9K down the drain!!! !@#$%^&& thieves!!!!!!!!
Here is a link to the thread showing the cars mods, and more pics:

Keep a look out!
Sr20kidD 02-15-2006, 10:04 AM sorry man, but turbo and a car like this, you should have had insurance on it.
you should start looking at the people that came buy to purchase it.. or the buyer that backed out..

I agree. I'm sure it was someone who came to look at the car, knew your schedule, and figured that your 240SX was an easy target. As more and more SR20DET swaps are being done, auto theft will increase in Central Florida. Unfortunately, they don’t steal to drive; they steal to strip. My car alarm is a SIG .45.
Sorry Jay,
Vince
sr20boston 02-15-2006, 10:39 AM My car alarm is a SIG .45.How does that help when you find a pile of glass in place of your car? Sorry to hear about the theft. :(
spdracerUT 02-15-2006, 11:06 AM wasn't my car... just posted for a guy I know. Jay goes through 240s (and other cars) like crazy, i.e., he builds them as project cars and when he's done, he sells and gets another one. One of his cars was in SCC a year or so ago. But since these are project cars and not daily driven, thats probably the reason he didn't have insurance on it.
dmp316 02-15-2006, 11:33 AM dam sorry for the lost, i was looking on ebay a few days ago and i saw the car it was a good looking car
GaudSpeed 02-15-2006, 02:05 PM How does that help…?
It’s not supposed to help, it’s supposed to hurt.:biggthump
…when you find a pile of glass in place of your car?
Not a chance…First of all, I live in a house. Second, I have a very sophisticated alarm system courtesy of ADT so the thief won't get within 200 feet of my garage without tripping something. I’d say my toys are pretty safe. :D
Tonynissan 02-15-2006, 02:07 PM sorry about the lost. for example, before thanksgiving time, my cousin's 00 civic si was stolen from the mall. a few days later, he found it up in delray,fl completely 100% strip to the metal. he invested over $1,500 plus monthly payments. i never saw a man that cried so much for his car. now he's really close to finding the people who stoled it. so i hope they find them and lock them up.
Joekuh 02-15-2006, 06:21 PM lock em up? nah daz getting away too easy...
Mister Jew 02-15-2006, 10:28 PM Sup,

I hope it doesnt get out of control like it is with honda's i dont drive my hatch cause of the theives and it would suck if nissan's were a big target too. i would have to get an echo or a gay scion? hope ur buddy finds the car bro peace

and your SIG helps you when, after the fact someone has stolen your car? are you really going to wait and watch over your car with a gun? Maybe if you are in the car and any imaginable thing happens a gun is handy but in this case you'd have to be woken up or somehow figure out someone is jacking your ride for you to even flash it

That's true. If they want something bad enough, I’m sure they’ll find a way to get it regardless of the consequences. Hell, I’ve heard of thieves punching holes in the side of the house with a sledge hammer to get in or send their kid through the roof vent and down the attic door. All I'm saying is that the alarm system is just a deterrent and the SIG is just back up just in case they got greedy and decide to take more than the car.
I don’t want to end up like that Orlando author who wrote Curious George. They stole from him, killed him for no reason, and threw his body in the trash. Alright, enough about my SIG comment. This thread is about auto theft, not Guns and Ammo. :D
