for those of you that have done this, are there any tips in removing and installing this? It seems that there is not enough room for a socket and ratchet, and no room for a wrench. this is a highport by the way. looking for tips. also, what size is the nut? alot of people have said its easy, but im .

well i just took mine off, used a deep socket to break it free, then used my hands to unscrew it cause if u use the deepsocket it will get stuck the more you unscrew it. well anyways, it also helps if you have the engine out of the car like i did hehe

does it leak coolant out? im thinking removing the oil filter would help some, but i dont want coolant leaking into the oil.??????? so how would coolant get into the oil ??????? Look dont worry about it . If you have to remove the filter do it. If you are really worried about the coolant getting into the oil then change the oil and filter after.

the temp. sensor is located right above the oil filter. If coolant leaks out then it could possibly end up traveling through the oil filter bracket and into the oil. Anyways, i just changed the oil and filter last weekend. i really dont want to change the oil and filter again, if i dont have to. who has the money for that?

Removing the oil filter shouldnt help get to it, if it does, and you're worried about coolent getting in there, put some plastic over the hole.

Mine did not gush coolant when removed -- I do not remember even a couple drops coming out.
