: highport to lowport swap - questions

I'm swapping out my tired highport out of a 91 SE-R and dropping in a UK lowport longblock I got a killer deal on. However, the lowport is missing a couple of important pieces.

I need to know if the following are the same across highport and lowport engines:

1) thermostat housing & water pipes that run behind the engine - the highport has a thermostat housing with two black water pipes that run behind the engine, the larger one goes to the water pump inlet, and the smaller looks like is attaches to the cylinder head. How is this done on lowports? The lowport cylinder head has no opening for a second water pipe.
2) oil filter bracket - the lowport longblock does not have the oil filter bracket, so I am assuming I could use the one from the highport engine. True?
3) IACV - are these the same for highport & lowport intake manifolds? The opening on the lowport manifold looks the same as the highport, but just wanted to make sure.

If anyone has an FSM drawing or similar that can show me the interested areas on a lowport, that would be great also.

Thanks!

did you see the date?

When I swapped motors everything went pefect. I had to switch the temp sensor for the ECU, i think that was it. I didnt have to change over the IACV. As long as you have both compleat motors you will have no issues.

BTW the coolant runs though the LIM on the low port, while the high port doesnt, IIRC it uses another pipe. Also the non RR motor low port looks to have the same oiling setup on the back.

Haha yeah.. I like resurrecting dead stuff.

Thanks for the input, bro!
