What type and size tires are you guys running? Any specific brand I should go with?

I get the cheapest ones I can find since I know I'll be going threw them in a few months. 18's aren't for performance. They're for looks. If you want to go fast get another set of smaller wheels with better tires. I have my 18's and another set.
