What do you guys oil press read on Idel?
Installed my Gauge and it reads like 50 at cold start then goes to 0 after warm up.

If your talking about Searching I did. No threads said "your press on idel should be XXXX"
Mostly about how to install one or just not working at all.
thanks for the Bumb thou.

I can see the 60psi at Idle on cold start up. But how are you getting 20-40psi at idle? If your oil press is that high at idle either its not warmed up or you have a VE pump...

I run 15w-50 all year round and I see about 10psi at Idle fully warmed up.

SE R madness hope that helps. I asked the same question and then after searching a lil bit I felt dumb for a split second cause it was all there

Wonder if my oil is just low. but i don't think it should drop to 0

Check the oil! :D

Mine is 65-75 when first started and cold, 12-15 at idle when warmed up. I normally take it easy till I see the oil pressure go to normal. Kind of like an indicator that the car is actually warmed up. I see 50-55 over 3000 RPM after the car is warm.

HOw many of your are running a Restrictor? I have a T25 on DE block.
Wonder if i remove the restrictor would i make a diffrent. Even thou it's only at Idel I dont want the oil press to ever be 0 while the car is running.

Depends where your restrictor is located. I don't think the way I have my restrictor installed affects my oil pressure reading, at least it shouldn't because what would be the point of the restrictor if it's still putting 50+ psi of oil through the turbo. :D

It's located off the Nisport Adapter. then to Oil line .

I don't believe it should affect oil pressure. What kind of oil pressure gauge do you have and is the sending unit tapped right into the Nisport adapter?

what kind of gauge are you using?? it sounds like the gauge may be off, i mean how can you have pressure when cold and then get 0 pressure when its warm? doesnt make much sence. try a new gauge maybe.

i get 60 psi on cold start up, and when warm i get ~18 @ idle and 50 @ 3k

I have a restrictor on my T25 turbo car, and a VDO electrical gauge. I get about 40psi at cold idle and close to 0 at warm idle. Even on the highway, I'm only pushing about 30psi.

I have a 2' line off the block to a T fitting, which is where the oil pressure sender is. I had the restrictor before the T and then moved it after the T hoping the oil pressure reading would increase, but it hasn't.

I'm running Mobil1 15w50 Extended Performance, and have been told by a few guys that this oil has issues with hot pressure. I'm going to switch to dino oil and see if it makes a difference.

The other thing I'm thinking is maybe there's just not enough flow with the restrictor in there for the VDO to read properly.

(not getting enough flow the the restrictor)- that sounds logical, i guess i didnt think of that because my restrictor is just on the oil feed line, my gauge reads w/o the restrictor.

I dont understand why anyone would put the line for the gauge after the restrictor?

65-75 on cold....after getting warmed up, around 15 or little less.
