I wanted to know what kind of fuel pump do the DET need? I read here at the forum that when you swap in a DET you should change the fuel pump as well.

Thanks,

Steve

A 300zx TT fuel pump is recommended. There is also an aftermarket pump that many on the forum use. It's $125.00 but I can't remember who makes it.

It is a safe thing to do to change the fuel pump when you do a DET swap, but it also depends on how much HP you plan on. I have the stock 98 fuel pump and have had no problems whatsoever. I am running a stock DET with FMIC and a boost controller boosting up to 11.75 psi. This is about the limit of my stock fuel pump, so I'm told. When I move to a T28 and some other goodies then I will have to move up to a 300zx TT fuel pump.

Well, I have a 91 SE-R with BB DET. I'm going to buy the FMIC, down pipe and intake pipe from Chris@sr20development.
I already have the HKS cat back exhaust, I think it's 2 1/2 from the cat to the tail pipe.

For now the HP of my car is whatever the stock DET is. I am trying to gather more info on what I can do to beef up the DET.

I know that JWT sells cam and injectors for it.
