i got my new catco cat yesterday. it has its own heatshield on it. should i face that towards the ground, or towards the car? i dont have my stock heatsheild on, due to my short throw shifter. so, i was thinking of puting the heatshield facing up. that way, stuff doesnt get cought between the heatsheild and cat also..
what do you guys/gals think? good plan?

I'm pretty sure the heatsheild faces up to protect the underbody of the car from the heat.

cool. yea, im going to do that.
for those of you interested..
i got the 14" cat, and used a tubing cutter to cut .75" off each end..to make t the 12.5" length required. i also got some flanges and used the drimel to widen the openings to get the flanges on a little smoother. it should all be going on next weekend (i couldnt get all of the parts by this weekend )-: (header, midpipe, gaskets, etc) ) if i remember to, i will say how everything worked out
