Do the oil pumps from the SR's matchup? I was reading a post and saw that someone fitted a sr20ve oil pump on a rwd sr20de engine. So are the sr20ve, sr20defwd, and sr20de rwd have the same oilk pump bolting? What about the gti-r pulsar engine? Which pump is better, gti-r or sr20ve? Thanks

From what I have researched regarding oil pumps, the GTi-R oil pump will fit on any SR motor, but you will have to use the GTi-R crank pulley or something equivalent. I know for sure that the GTi-R oil pump is far better than the other pumps because it has a higher flow rate. I haven't been able to get further in my research regarding the VE motor or any of its corresponding parts, but if anyone has more info than I do, please add. From what I know so far is that the VE parts will only work on the VE motor itself, but if that guy with the RWD SR was able to get the VE pump to work on his set-up, then hats off to him!!

The VE N1 is the one you want. mossyperformance.com. I think you have to modify the pickup, but i dont think it shoud be too bad.

all oil pumps will bolt to the block, its the combination of pulleys, spacer, and pickup tube that you have to coordinate.
on a DE you just use the VE pickup and cut one of the brackets off to clear the main bearing girdle. very easy and 100% effective. The VE pump is the shit!!

Thanks. This also goes for rwd sr20de and sr20det too right?

yes. the front covers will all bolt up. The GTiR and VE spacer are the same. The DE and DET spacer are the same. The DE/DET pump are the same. the GTiR pump is higher volume and the VE pump is highest volume. The GTiR crank pulley is different, the VE crank pulley is different, the DE/DET pulley is the same.
You can make a GTir Pulley fit on a VE pump by machining the rear lip (belt guide) off.
you cannot by any means make a DE/DET pulley fit a VE or GTir pump.
that should cover it in short.
rwd front covers are different than fwd covers too
