Okay with my pimping big tax return I am throwing more money into my pit (read 240sx)
I have two options really when upgrading the stock turbo t2 or t3

Going with t2 I can stay bottom mount and save about 1,300 compared to going topmout and the t3.

t2 really can only flow about 400whp where’s t3 can flow to the hevans (umm 600 maybe more)

Here is my t2 shopping list of parts. (Good till 370whp estimate)

What sucks about going bottom mount is that if I ever later on decided I want more power I'll have to topmout and rebuy things.

What sucks about topmount is that it’s mad more strill ($1325) and it dumps to the atmosphere. Dumping to the atmosphere my be kinda bad thing, I have never been in a sr20det where it dumps to the atmosphere, I would think it would be very loud and if a cop ever heard that it would be like asking him to give me a ticket.

I know their are other things to buy to but I am just trying to compare these two things (manifold vs. manifold)
So yeah, what is your guy’s opinion on this...flame away

Peakboost manifolds are awesome. I am down at his shop about once a week and see the work he does. If you want big hp.. its the only way to go!

I've been in friends' cars with dumps, and it's not that bad inside the car. Outside's a different story.

You don't HAVE to dump to the atmosphere just because you have a divorced WG. You can always plumb it back into the exhaust, as long as you do it right, but you will lose a few HP and a little bit of response, but it is a lot quieter.

The 2871r and the 3071r both can be had in a T2 ot T3 configuration, so it really is up to you to decide, how much power do you want, what your goal for your car is, etc.

Hey AZ_turbose do you think peakboost could do something trick like have the dump tube merge way down low at like where the downpipe meets the cat without doing a slip fit. I have heard that slip fits have exhaust leaks.

The best way is to divorce the wastgate and then merge it back into the exhaust about 10-12 inches at a shallow angle...good flow and response, and why can't you develop big HP with the bottom mount... you should look at the manifolds on full-race.com and amz.performance.com

pretty sure you can make more power with a bottom mount... if you have the $$ for that topmount setup, i'd get that, no question
