I dont know why my car is losing power on the top end. It takes off fine but at the end of 3rd gear and 4th gear i have no power. Any info would help.

I haven't really heard of this. Does the car feel like it loses power in 3rd and 4th? Have you had a tune up done recently? Everything in good working order? My brothers car was like a slug through all of his gears. We checked the timing and it was way off. We turned it up about 4* degrees more then stock, ran 93 octane, and the car pulled way harder.

How do you check the timing ? i know i did a FULLL tune up and my car feels like a straight up SLUG through ALL gears .... a ford aspire pulled on me top end on the highway !!!!!

I've done the full tune up and checked the timing. I just put a JDMSR20 in so I dont know if I might have got a bad motor or something isn't hooked right.I think I might take it to the dealer Monday If I cant figure it out. Does anybody know where Ican get a vacume diagram.

Make sure that your car's alternator isn't going bad by checking the voltage. It happened with mine. Now the car pulls like a bat out of hell...:biggthump

Also, another thing you could do is reground the maf. Heres how to do this...

Might help improve the cars performance a bit. Another thing to do is take off the intake tube and clean the throttle body. Over time, gunk could build up around there and a cleaning could help it out.
