What kind of setup's do you all have. I'm looking into JWT ECU upgrade. What other options out there are worth the bucks? I was thinking of the Electromotive Total Engine Management. Does anyone have that? The upgrade will be for a 1998 Sentra SE with a Redtop Bluebird SR20DET. I am currently running a stock ECU. Also the car is an automatic. The main reason I am going to do this ECU upgrade is that emmissions is coming up and 10 MPG isn't great mileage.

i am going to be installing the electromotive system in my car. i am runing the gti-r det and i guess if you are going to be going up in boost, need more fuel, then the way i look at it is the engine management takes the place of the ecu, fuel controller, ignition system, and MAF sensor. those four things alone cost around 1600.00 and for 500-900 more you can get all that and then some with the stand alone system. i guess the question is how far do you want to take your project? once i get mine installed i will post my results and opinions on the system.

I am using it on the miata and have one word for it AWESOM!! I went from the Link Electrosystems MiataLink ECU (complete stand alone) and picked up 30+hp and 30+ftlb of torque with JUST an ecu change. And that is going from one stand alone to another, not stock to a standalone. I am sure that I could of made more power but the turbo blew when I hit 290. I put the better bigger turbo and at less boost made 317 and picked up 60-70ftlb of torque in the midrange!!!!! The car was SO much smoother with TEC than the link. You should never have misfire issues with the TEC. Spark scatter (incorrect readings of where the motor is due to CAS or Distributor) is virturally NILL. The car accelerates like a banchee and is easy to tune. 15 runs on the link and still had a wavy A/F line on the dyno. 4th run on the tec and the A/F was COMPLETELY flat at 12.5:1 Also the dyno curve was MUCH smoother on the TEC and very jaggedy on the link.. I am Very happy as I said.

This was on the older but still great TEC II the TEC III is even better (good luck even finding a TEC II, I got one of the last ones)

Very good choice. JWT is good, but I change my setup way too much that if I had a Nissan and a JWT I might as well sign their paychecks as often as I would need an upgrade.
