Mike, at the moment is not running.

Will, thanks for the info. I am going to do that today.

Do a copmressio test, if you get 0 in two cyclinders next to eachother you got a blown head gasket.

for the compression test, i would pull the fuel pump fuse so you're not spraying gas in there. Also, you're suppose to hold the throttle/throttle plate fully open when cranking.

zip compression means valves - like bent from the chain breaking - hard to believe that would happen, though. Unless somebody snuck in there and REMOVED the rings when you weren't looking, you'll have SOME compression if the valves aren't bent. Indeed test it again. At the very least, hope they're within about 10 lbs of each other. Lotsa places to get jdm motors down there, but imho the best of the bunch for pumpers or ves is Andreas in Miami.

OK here is the update....

I did a test and cylinders 1,2 and 4 have 120 compression. 3 is at 0 (zero)

After putting all the stuff back, the engine went BOOM !!!!!

Here are the pics (after the explosion)

Little overrev action? The motor is probibly junk bent valves are bad. Jdm motors are only 400 bucks.

instead of telling him the motor is probably junk tell him to toss the rocker arms and shim back on and see if the bitch fires up and go from there. if the head is junkk you can always just get a new head get the head repaird or get a new motor. IF the motor turns over freely just put the shims and rocker arms back on and go from there other wise. get a new motor.

Ill do that evils

What about that one cylinder that doesnt have any compression?

If one of the rockers for cylinder #3 was already broken BEFORE the engine went boom, that could definitely explain the 0 compression.

That rocker could have been broken and floating around the head, and jammed itself into the other rocker and taken it out.

You might just get lucky here.

Oh another thing I noticed was that the spark plug was not bolting. Like if it was too small for the hole.

eh... you'd be surprised; my OEM head bolts were so far beyond spec that the headgasket was doing little (if anything)... I had 0 in all 4 cylinders, and it held kerosene just fine.

Zpeed, in light of the rocker issue, though, turn that engine over by hand with a 21mm socket and a 1/2" ratchet.... that's the best way to see if any valves are bent. Assuming that it turns freely, slap another rocker and shim in there and see what happens. Keep us posted!

Also, what cylinder was that spark plug in? Can you get any pics of the threads in the head, to see if they're stripped? That wouldn't help compression either ;).

Ok, after taking some parts out I took some more pics.

Concerns I got, then again I dont know too much about fixing engines and such...

Pic 2, the spring on the right is higher then the left. Is not being hold down by the valve (?) I guess

Pic 3, one of the little magnets (sorry dont know the name) broke in half.

Harry, the spark plug that I was not able to screw back was number 3 counting left to right.

Thanks again guys for your help.

That valve is bent. Pull the head off but I stand by my first feeling.

It was funny seeing all my neighbors come out with a worried look like WTF did he do now.

But I learn a lot. Good thing to have an extra motor:rofl:
