Engine 144K ,Hotshot(Gen 1), JG Cams , Stock B-pipe , 5 Zigen muffler , '96 Civic hard pipe for CAI , JWT ECU w/S3/S4 program. I was thinking 140's to the wheels with 135ish torque.

I'm kinda disappointed, but at least I know where I stand. I got 6 runs for $45, not a bad deal. Played with the timing some and gained some low end torque but lost some hp. It was getting some heat soak near the end runs.

Wow... those numbers don't sound too good... Especially with the mods you have. My NX, when it was stock, made 126hp and 123lb/ft of torque to the wheels (19deg timing). I'm willing to bet that it's your cams. I haven't heard any good things about JG cams on SR20's. Some of that info I read about is in SE-R.net.

Yeah, and I was wondering, why do you have the S3/S4 program if you're not running S3/S4 cams? I'm guessing that's hurting you more than it's helping. FWIW, my SE-R with 115,000 miles on it dynoed at 131 HP at the wheels and 122 lb-ft of torque, and my only mod was a regular JWT ECU. I think you probably have some serious tuning issues, I don't think those cams are helping much.

What does the ultra-high curve around 250hp mean?

So nobody got the poll right.

I was closest (130's hp and 120's torque). Do I win a prize?

I agree with everyone else. Get the S3 or S4 cams to go with the ECU with the cam program.

keithert: you're looking at his torque curve. Use the right-side axis for that curve.

i dont suppose your colapsed flexpipe had anything to do with it :D those numbers certainly are disappointing. but on to bigger and better things... cough * turbo* cough

on the bright side i think the JWT ECU has matched the mods well cause the graph is really smooth.

Well the hp curve holds all the way to redline so I figure the stock b-pipe must not be hurting alot. As far as the torque curve I don't know what the hump is, if you look at the hp it has one too only smaller, probably because it's graphed on a larger scale. Maybe the ECU starts throwing timing too it then detects knock then yanks it back out. I have the S3/S4 program because I bought it used(ECU) and that's what was in it. I got in prepartion for going turbo or VE and decided to run it for now just to get some use out of it. The torque to me seems really low when compared to other SR20's, seems like it should be around 120. I was running 92 octane. Did I mention I wasn't happy. I showed the guy who used to own the car and he said it dyno at close to 100 to the wheels when he got it, maybe it's just a sick motor. The valve cover is leaking a little I'll be pulling it, maybe he toke the cams out , I don't know.

ive seen humps and bumps in the powerband of SR20s like that before... but im still picking myself up off the floor from your numbers! the butt dyno lied!!!!

Oh, I haven't seen the graph done like that before.

I don't see a dyno chart at all maybe you could email me the dyno?

JG sr20 cams are regrinds, they have to be shimmed properly when installed. I bet that wasn't done. Just buy a set of s3 or s4 cams, those JG cams probably arn't worth the your time to mess with.

Supposedly the cams were shimmed properly, all except the CAI and muffler were installed by previous owner. The curves look good to me, only not as high up as I had hoped. I not sure what I'm doing , but it doesn't involve this motor. I swear never to let this car dyno this low again.

Cool. Well, you know what the solution to everything is if you own an se-r: det. Funny dyno numbers? Det fix that. Low compression on one cylinder? Just install a det. Got idle problems? Det. Squeaky belt? Det. Trunk leaking? Det foo. Works for me. :D
