Hi folks,
Some background on it is that it's a Motivational Coilover Setup with the rear shock mounts that they sell. I installed them per instructions that were included. The problem is that on little things like tar strips and other imperfections in the road (deep gorges, and those annoying little reflectors), I get really annoying rattling and clunking noises. I don't know what it is exactly but everything was tighten and torque down as required. Motivational said more washer at the top of the strut could help cause I might have to much play but I wanted to get some input from you all. The second problem is during compression and rebound of the struts, I hear a noise like when you raise and lower and office chair. I could only hear it at very slow speed so it isn't that big of a deal. Probably just needs some lube. Well, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i had the same rear noise after the initial install. the lip of the shock shaft was banging against the spring top hat. i fitted a large metal washer over the shaft that rests on the lip. then added a rubber bushing between that and the top hat. the rest of the assembly is per instructions. they've been silent now for over 15k miles.

mine had a lot of noise, too. i placed several thick washers between the stock gold washer and the top of the strut. after i tightened down the stock nut, there was only 1.5 threads above the nut. no more noise.
